Real Estate Glossary
As you get ready to sell your house, you'll first need to disconnect your emotions. Stop looking at it as your "home" and begin looking at it as a "house" that you live in. Try to look at it as objectively as possible as an asset -- a building and some land.
One of the main principles here is "depersonalizing" your home. While you need to detach your emotions from this house, you want to make it as easy as possible for potential buyers to imagine this as their home -- and to form their own emotional bond.
